"Cadillac Records" , written and directed by Darnell Martin, chronicles the rise of Chess Records and its recording artists. It follows the exciting but turbulent lives of musical legends, such as, Muddy Waters, Leonard Chess, Little Walter, Howlin' Wolf, Chuck Berry and Etta James.
The movie features Adrien Brody as Leonard Chess, Jeffrey Wright as Muddy Waters, Columbus Short as Little Walter, Mos Def as Chuck Berry and Beyoncé Knowles as Etta James. The movie also stars Gabrielle Union, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Cedric The Entertainer, Eamonn Walker and Tammy Blanchard. It is produced by Andrew Lack and Sofia Sondervan for Sony BMG Film and Executive Produced by Beyoncé Knowles.
"Cadillac Records" is scheduled to be released on December 5.
The soundtrack will be released on December 2 featuring performances by Beyoncé, Mos Def, Buddy Guy, Raphael Saddiq, Solange, Q-Tip and others, recording classics such as "At Last" and "Hoochie Coochie Man" as well as new tracks by Beyoncé and others.
