Charlotte Gainsbourg Feat. Beck - Heaven Can Wait

The lead single from Charlotte Gainsbourg's upcoming third studio album, IRM, is directed by Keith Schofield. It features surreal things like burgers for wheels, a pancake head, and what I think is a shadow man playing tennis. You will have to pay close attention to see it all.

The song is a bit catchy and bouncy. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. The album is due out in January 2010.

You can also check out Gainsbourg's acting in the recent movie Antichrist.

Strong Arm Steady - Get Started ft. Talib Kweli

While there may be some hidden gems in the electronic fused current state of hip-hop (and you really need to dig to find them) it is refreshing to find something that takes you back in time.... back to when hip-hop as a genre sounded raw, sounded fresh, and made you feel something in the words, in the beat, and in the spirit.

The track below by Strong Arm Steady takes me back to that time. Produced by Madlib, featuring Talib Kweli, "Get Started" is definitely something that should be on everyone's play list in my opinion. The track is from the SAS/Madlib collab "Stoney Jackson" album.

New Blaqk Audio Coming..

Davey Havok and Jade Puget of AFI are set to release a new album from their Blaqk Audio project.

The follow up to 2007's CexCells, titled "Bright Black Heaven", is finished. However, the duo decided to release it sometime after they are done touring to promote the recently released AFI album Crash Love.

Puget recently told Billboard that the album was actually ready before Crash Love but they felt that "if all of a sudden we're doing two Blaqk Audio records in a row people will think AFI is not happening or something." (billboard)

In the meanwhile, check out the new album from AFI -- Crash Love
