Singer-songwriter Nneka is a force to be reckoned with. This Nigerian born artist is gaining fans quickly with her fusion of reggae, African-pop, hip hop, and more with an added touch of sincerity. Nneka is one of those artists that belong on the radio. She should be heard. This is music from the soul.

Something For Your Ears - Esza Kaye

Soft melodies fused with gothic electronic sounds set behind a soothing voice and honest lyrics. That would be how I would describe the music of Esza Kaye. Kaye's music has been compared to Dead Can Dance and Kate Bush. Check out the music below and also the music video for the title track off of her ep, Tinged With Machine, which is out now.

Lola Bleu - I Found You

When I came across this song by Lola Bleu I couldn't help but think how nice it is to hear a voice and not a machine. Lola is Janell McCracken, a 22-year-old who has a voice that is soulful, smooth, and worthy of being heard. She recently saw her debut album titled, Love Will Find A Way, released this August. Here is a track off of the album, "I Found You.'

Something For Your Ears - Adriana Evans

Adriana Evans is not a new face on the scene. This is a single from her 2004 album titled 'Nomadic.'

I came across this video browsing tv and stumbled upon it on BET Soul. It's definitely one of my faves. It was also recently one of the XLR8R magazine's compilations. Enjoy!
