MXP4Player
Musinaut, a company based in Paris, have created MXp4 , a new music platform consisting of two components.
The MXP4 Creator is an editing tool devoted to creating music in the new mxp4 format. This format takes the MP3 concept, improves the encoding quality, then splits the whole thing into layers and tracks. This allows the user to create their remix whenever they want easily.
The MXP4 Player allows users to listen to any mxp4 track and to switch between variations available versions of the track (ex. remix1,remix2,acoustic,etc.). An MXP4 file may also contain multimedia information such as visuals, text, etc.

This probably won't be the only format like this, but it is DEFINITELY the next big thing. It just gives more power to the people. Thanks for turning me on to this.
