Designed in partnership with software developer Ableton, the ApC40 was developed specifically for Ableton Live software.
The APC40 is to be a powerful controller for hip-hop producers, electronic musicians, DJs and traditional musicians using Ableton Live in the studio and on the stage.
The APC40 communicates bi-directionally with Live, which enables the controller to display information from the software on its clip maxtrix of 40 triggers and on LED rings surrounding each knob. The clip matrix provides an instant view of clip status (what is loaded, playing, and what is recorded).
The controller comes with a special edition of Ableton Live Lite. there is also a special patch for current users to upgrade to full versions of Live.
