Trailer- The Smurfs

Neil Patrick Harris stars in the movie featuring some of our favorite little blue people, the Smurfs. The movie also features Hank Azaria, Paul Reubens, and George Lopez. It is set for release August 3, 2011.

Opinion: There has to be something better than what I am seeing in this trailer. I doubt that this is a movie that I will want to see. It looks too overdone.

September 30th marked the 50th year anniversary for one of our favorite families, The Flintstones.

From mental_floss : 'TV’s favorite stone-age family first visited our living rooms on September 30, 1960. Originally pitched as The Flagstones, television’s first prime-time animated series ran for six seasons and became so popular that companies like Welch’s paid big bucks to get their products advertised by Fred, Wilma, Betty, Barney and Pebbles.'

From ars.technica : 'Torrentfreak ran an article last week about a small US Internet provider called Suddenlink, which apparently disconnects its users for six months after receiving three copyright infringement allegations. Trailer - Yogi Bear

It seems to have become a bit way too popular to take some of our favorite cartoons, make a live action movie, and make a video game out of them. Such is the case with one of my faves, Yogi Bear. From the trailer it seems like it may have some fun moments. I must say, I am a bit skeptical that this is going to be worth seeing in the theaters. Also, with the price of 3D movies these days, perhaps I should just wait and see it when it makes it to dvd.  The movie stars Dan Aykroyd (voicing Yogi) and Justin Timberlake (Boo Boo). The movie is set for release December 17, 2010.

There hasn't been too much information on the upcoming video game as of yet but it is set for release December 7 for Nintendo Wii and DS.

Useless Fact Of The Week

"Scooby Doo, Where Are You!" was originally thought up as  "Mysteries Five," a show featuring five teens and their dog named Too Much who were in a band. When "The Mysteries Five" (which included the dog) were not performing they would solve mysteries of the paranormal kind. Needless to say after a few name changes and tweeks, "Scooby Doo, Where Are You!" finally got its debut on Saturday, September 13, 1969.

T-Pain As Frylock???

This sounds scary to me....

Rapper (?) T-Pain has landed a role in the upcoming season finale of Adult Swim's "Aqua Teen Hunger Force."

The show, which is set in New Jersey, follows three anthropomorphic fast food menu items – Frylock, Master Shake and Meatwad – along with their next-door neighbor Carl Brutananadilewski.

T-Pain will star as Frylock alongside actor Jon Benjamin as Master Shake. After winning a Burger-King sponsored casting call in 2008,Dave Long Jr. will play Carl.

The episode is to be a special live-action episode and is set to air May 31.
