DJ Earworm - United State of Pop 2011

Another year coming to an end and another video from none other than DJ Earworm. Some may think that this entry isn't his best or that his choices weren't all that good. Based on the amount of "pop" tracks that came out this year I think he did a good job at it. It isn't his fault that the quality of music that is out there that he had to choose from wasn't all that great... blame the artists, the labels, and the radio stations. That's just my opinion.. check it out and form your own opinion.

Full list of artists after the video. For more from DJ Earworm check out his site: EARWORM

Ed Sheeran - You Need Me, I Don't Need You

I was randomly browsing around YouTube and I came across this video. I like this song. It's a bit different. The guy is clearly talented and has a chance to make a big slash. His debut ep, "The A-Team", is out now in the UK, Ireland, and Australia. It will be available in the United States soon.

Introducing - Canon Logic

Hailing from New York City and bringing what sounds like what would happen if the Killers and The Stokes met up in  a studio and decided to put a super-group together, Canon Logic are proving that they could very well take over where those bands left off.

Here is the video for the very catchy song  "Dead Man"  which is off of their 2010 debut, FM Arcade. Their latest ep, Rapid Empire, was released this summer.  You can now download a copy of the track for free here:  DEAD MAN

Introducing... Vicky

Vicky is a melodic pop-punk band from Iceland. They have grown quite a following as they have been leaving quite an impression with their live shows.  I have not had the pleasure of seeing Vicky live but the reviews are loud and clear... this is a band to check out.

From Cyberpr:

If the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Björk and Queens of the Stone Age were pregnant after a dramatic love triangle, Vicky would be their offspring, and no one knows who the father is

One can definitely hear some inspiration from the above mentioned bands. Check out the video below for the first single off of their second album , Cast A Light,  titled, "Feel Good".

Something For Your Ears - The Good Natured

This is a catchy tune. It reminds me of early 80's new wave or perhaps early goth.

"Skeleton" is off of  'Skeleton Ep' by The Good Natured, which is due out July 4th on vinyl.

The first song I heard from her is this track featuring Gucci Maine. I felt it was too Beyonce. That and I felt that Gucci Maine was horrible on it. With that in mind this particular track , "Like Me," felt a bit easier to introduce an act. The track has a heavy vibe, is danceable, and is a bit catchy. What is your opinion?

Guilty Pleasures -- Just A Few Videos

I have been browsing around the web a lot more than usual lately and I thought I would share a few videos that I came across. I found them to be a bit catchy, a little different, and entertaining. Enjoy! (I especially love the Beastie Boys Cover!)
