"Hours" is the new single off of Tycho's second album, Drive. It has been nearly a decade since the artist has put out a full album. The sound is full of relaxing soundscapes and down-tempo chill. Check out some tracks below, grab a copy of Hours, and if you like what you hear pick up a copy of the album. The digital version is out now and the lp is set for release November 15th. Here are a couple of great tracks that are out there ready for you to listen to.
Mr. Raoul K - "The African Govenment" This is a good track for those who love tribal sounds infused with a German electronic influence. Very catchy. (via xlr8r)
Moby - be the one ep -- Moby is giving us his latest for free at his site.
Also, just because Valentine's Day has come and gone doesn't mean you can't enjoy this mix from Penguin Prison... (vdaymix)
As we continue on with looking back at the year I thought I we should take a look and listen at all the great music that was shared.
In January I told you about an absolutely fantastic compilation featuring 83 tracks of smashing industrial. What made this even sweeter? It is for a great cause. Check out the teaser trailer for Electronic Saviors and if you haven't had the chance to pick it up and want to know more click here for the original post.
Some of you were also introduced to the sounds of Film Noir World. From the original post: 'Film Noir World is a one man production from Nottingham, England. His music is reminicent of old school beautiful soundtracks. First up is a track from his newest release (out now!) titled, "Dark Earth." The second is from his first release, "It's Here." One could never know what you are going to get when you see referenced influences such as Tim Burton, Massive Attack, Portishead, Moloko, and Danny Elfman. This is definitely an artist to be on the watch for.'

She describes her sound as "well-rounded," with influences such as; Prince, Pat Benatar, Stevie Wonder, and Annie Lennox, as well as many others.'

Many of us don't have the time to dig through the webs and find some new music. It could be that there is just so much out there. While I really don't have anything to say about those that choose to illegally download at this time or upload things to "share", I am just one of those who prefers the free and legal.
With that in mind, here are a couple of links to some of the tracks that I recently checked out. Support the artists!
Here is the first single off of Bonobo's upcoming album, Black Sands. The album is due out on Ninja Tune March 23rd. The tracklisting is below the video.
Ilyasin Zarifa, aka "Ya Za", is an artist who grew up in Nashville, TN. She describes her sound as "well-rounded," with influences such as; Prince, Pat Benatar, Stevie Wonder, and Annie Lennox, as well as many others.
The track below, "Bipolar," is set to become a DJ favorite. It's (in my opinion) a fun track with a great danceable rhythm. The vocals are pretty clear and not overdone (or over-processed) like some of the usual dance music out there. The album BipolarIn Stereo is available now. Hopefully, this will be an artist we will hear from for quite some time.
