Introducing - Kilpanda

Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, Kilpanda is an electronic producer who fuses his inspirations from the likes of Crystal Method, Orbital, and many other artists that came before to create a sound that is his own.

After releasing four albums, Kilpanda is still relatively new to the scene. He is now looking at the wider picture and is clearly making a name for himself. Among the songs that I like is one called "Waiting For Isis". In my opinion is sound like what would happen if you put Joker and Deadmau5 in a room together.

Another great track is "The Night Is Young". It features Damon Cooper on the vocals. The video is a definite eye-catcher. The inner child in me says, "OOH. Look at the pretty lights."

Feel free to also check out the tracks below as well. There are plenty to check out and I am sure something for every electronic fan.

Downloads? 11/19/10 (dnb ed)

Here is another round-up of a few free tracks across the web...

Do you like Drum 'N Bass? Go over to Drum & Bass Arena and pick up Subwave's 'Gift EP' -- while you are there... check out and pick up some other great tracks! GIFT

After that you may want to go to Knowledge Mag's feature on Krust and after reading the great article get a copy of the guest mix he did for them.

And now as you may be chair dancing to the first or second download..... how about a mini-mix from Chase & Status and Plan B? (nme)

Downloads? Sure, why not? 11/12/10

Many of us don't have the time to dig through the webs and find some new music. It could be that there is just so much out there. While I really don't have anything to say about those that choose to illegally download at this time or upload things to "share", I am just one of those who prefers the free and legal.

With that in mind, here are a couple of  links to some of the tracks that I recently checked out. Support the artists!

Chemical Brothers - Dissolve (Bloody Beetroots Remix) --- rcrd lbl

Pendulum - The Island (Steve Angello, AN21 & Max Vangeli Remix)  -- Bacau House Mafia
There are also six more tracks featured on the page so check them out!

Katy B - Katy On A Mission

This right here.... is definitely a club banger for the here and now. The track is produced by none other than Benga and was written by Katy B, Benga, and Geenius. It's time to chill out, relax, and bob your head.

Farrad - Misunderstood (Rock Mix)

When you have an artist such as Farrad, you get an artist who is true to who he is. He is not out there pandering to you. I appreciate an artist that doesn't just do the standard thing. I show respect to any artist to appears to enjoy what they are doing and isn't afraid to be themselves.

With that in mind, this is the latest video for "Misunderstood (Rock Mix)".  The music is a good mix of dance with the right amount of rock vibe. I think this is a guy who is going somewhere. Hopefully many will not be afraid to follow.

YUG » Sound The Horns (Original Mix) [44th & Filth]

This is the perfect sound to start of the summer in my opinion. The beat is stomping, the horns are beautiful, what more can us dance fans want? Get your copy at any of your favorite sites (beatport, tracksource).  The track is called "Sound The Horns" by YUG.

Armin van Buuren - Communication

I am finding myself liking this video and track a lot more than I expected. Not everyone can get it to trance but for me, it's one I do enjoy a lot of. The dancing robots are a nice touch. Enjoy!

Euphoreal vs The Prodigy - You Choose

One of the more known mixes of The Prodigy's 'Charly' is the Alley Cat mix. Before we get into while that is the mix that I am pitting against Euphoreal's 'Jungle Music,' let's go to the original 'Charly.'

The Prodigy - Charly (orig mix)

Now let's get to it.... The Prodigy or Euphoreal? Perhaps both?

Euphoreal - Jungle Music

The Prodigy - Charly (Alley Cat Remix)

Now remember.... "Charly says always tell your mommy before you're going somewhere!"

As The Weather Gets Warmer.... It's Electric!

As the seasons pass so does the type of music I find myself listening to more and more. Here's a few treats to work up a sweat to. Enjoy!

Guilty Pleasures -- Just A Few Videos

I have been browsing around the web a lot more than usual lately and I thought I would share a few videos that I came across. I found them to be a bit catchy, a little different, and entertaining. Enjoy! (I especially love the Beastie Boys Cover!)

Something For Your Ears - Ya Za

Ilyasin Zarifa, aka "Ya Za", is an artist who grew up in Nashville, TN. She describes her sound as "well-rounded," with influences such as; Prince, Pat Benatar, Stevie Wonder, and Annie Lennox, as well as many others.

The track below, "Bipolar," is set to become a DJ favorite. It's (in my opinion) a fun track with a great danceable rhythm. The vocals are pretty clear and not overdone (or over-processed) like some of the usual dance music out there.  The album Bipolar In Stereo is available now. Hopefully, this will be an artist we will hear from for quite some time.

Simian Mobile Disco ft Beth Ditto – Cruel Intentions

I like this song. I found it to be catchy and it can be danceable.

The video? I don’t like it all that much. I will however give credit to the band for not putting out just any old video. I will also give credit to the director, Saam Farahmand for putting it together.

Sorry, but I wouldn’t mind an alternative video.

The single is from the album, Temporary Pleasure, which is out now.

Check out the band’s site for more info: smd

As an added bonus, here is the great remix from dubstep producer, Joker.
