Woman Stabs Boyfriend With Her Heels

Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England - 28-year-old Gavin Taylor was struck in the head by his girlfriend while riding in a taxi cab in early morning hours after a night out in Huddersfield. The heel of the stiletto is believed to have touched his eye, passed through his eye socket, and touched his brain.

A spokesman for the West Yorkshire Police is quoted to have said, "At around 2 am on Sunday, police received reports of a serious assault which occurred in a vehicle traveling to Huddersfield town centre."

Taylors' girlfriend, 33-year-old Stacy Hargreaves, has been charged with wounding with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Taylor was rushed to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary then transferred to Leeds General Infirmary. At last report, he was listed as stable but in critical condition.

About five years ago, Taylor had been jailed for sixteen months for taking part in what was to have been a "joke" that turned into the drowning of a "loner"  who had been terrified of the water. The victim, Chris Mattison was a 42-year-old father of three, who had been dangled over the River Thame and left to drown when the line holding him broke. Taylor had admitted to false imprisonment.

Student Dies From Gum That Exploded

A 25-year-old chemistry student from, Ukraine's Kiev Polytechnic Institute, was killed in an incident while he was working from a computer at his parent's house in Konotop. He was chewing gum.

According to police, a loud pop sound was heard in the students' room and when relatives went to check on him and see what happened they found that the lower part of the his face had been blown off.

Forensics show in a report that the gum was covered in some unknown substance. It is thought that the substance was of explosive material. Investigators found that the student liked to dip his gum in citric acid and accidentally dipped it into a similar looking packet that was holding the explosive material. Both were on his desk.

It Wasn't The Neighbors?

An elderly man in Germany called police to report his neighbors for playing the same song over and over. He felt his neighbors were intentionally trying to annoy him.

Upon investigation the police found that it was not his neighbors but merely a greeting card on his windowsill. Whenever a slight breeze went by it opened the card just enough to play a little song.

The 82-year-old man was pleased to find out it wasn't his neighbors and that the case was solved.

I bet he was a bit embarrassed as well....
