T-Pain As Frylock???

This sounds scary to me....

Rapper (?) T-Pain has landed a role in the upcoming season finale of Adult Swim's "Aqua Teen Hunger Force."

The show, which is set in New Jersey, follows three anthropomorphic fast food menu items – Frylock, Master Shake and Meatwad – along with their next-door neighbor Carl Brutananadilewski.

T-Pain will star as Frylock alongside actor Jon Benjamin as Master Shake. After winning a Burger-King sponsored casting call in 2008,Dave Long Jr. will play Carl.

The episode is to be a special live-action episode and is set to air May 31.

Hammer To Star In Reality Show

"Hammertime," a new reality show starring MC Hammer, has been picked up by cable channel A&E.

The focus of the half hour show executive produced by J.D. Roth is set to focus on his life with his wife and five children.

Senior VP Alternative, Robert Sharenow, said "MC Hammer is an iconic figure in American pop culture, but many people only know him for his music and fashion sense. Now A&E takes an unprecedented look behind his larger-than-life personality and into his life as a devoted husband, father and business entrepreneur."

"Here's a dad with five kids, married to the same woman for more than 23 years, living in the same place where he grew up and going to church every Sunday," Roth said. "He's had his ups and downs, and it's what makes him such a character you root for."

I hope it isn't boring.

The Roots To Be.....

'Critically-acclaimed, Grammy-winning band The Roots will be Jimmy Fallon's house band when "Late Night" makes its broadcast debut. Named one of the "20 Greatest Live Acts in the World" by Rolling Stone, The Roots will bring their eclectic hip-hop sound to the new "Late Night."'

That's right....as I previously mentioned (see Rumor Has It --Nov. 22) and as you see above, it has officially been announced....The Roots will become the house band for "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon". The show is scheduled to debut on Monday, March 2, 2009 at 12:35/11:35c.

Rumor Has It.....

There is a rumor going around that Hip-Hop band, The Roots will retire from touring and become the house band for 'Late Night' once Jimmy Fallon takes over. Currently they are on tour in Europe. Whether this is true or not....depends on the article about the subject you read. Guess we will not know until the show begins taping.

Kiedis To See His Scar Tissue Become A Show.

It is being reported that HBO is developing a series based on Anthony Kiedis' memoir, Scar Tissue.

The series is said to be a Wonder Years - style comedy focusing on the Red Hot Chilli Peppers frontmans' early life.

The show will begin with his move from Grand Rapids, Mich., to live with his father in West Hollywood. It will center on his relationship with his father, said to have been a drug dealer who hung out with rock stars. A focus will also be West Hollywood and Los Angeles in the early 70s including rockstar encountered by Kiedis and his father.

Variety is reporting that Kiedis is heavily involved with the project and may narrate the story and/or make a cameo.

Status Check : Munsters Remake

The Wayans Brothers announced their involvement with a remake of the 50's television show, "The Munsters", four years ago. Recently Shawn Wayans stated that the remake is almost ready. They are currently finalizing work on the third draft of the script. The characters will remain the way they were (no race change or type change) but the family will be placed in modern times. I hope it works. This is one of those tv shows that never was truly accepted in the movies or when remade in the past.
